3 Kings BnB featured in the Herald Sun: (26/06/09)

The best part about luxury weekends away is spoiling yourslef with things you never get to do at home.
At Yarra Junction's 3 Kings B&B, watching a flatscreen plasma TV from a spa in the lounge room in front of a fireplace certainly fits that category.
Which is th exact environment owners Brian and Julie wanted to create when they built the three self-contained cottages less than a year ago.
On a sloping block near the center of town, the three units have spectacular views of nearby Mt Donna Buang.

The room

Privacy and an open-plan design are standout features.
The sunken spa in the corner of the lounge area is a highlight. The spa, the main bedroom and the couch all have equaly good views of the wall mounted flatscreen TV.
There's a fully equipped kitchen and large ensuite bathroom.
At sunset, there's no better place to marvel at the changing colours over the Yarra Valley than from the private veranda, with access from the living area and the bedroom.

The food

The question of what to eat is a tough one at 3 Kings.
Plenty of great Yarra Valley restaurants are within a short drive, but the self-contained unit and luxurious furnishings make it just as tempting to self-cater.
A meal bought from Yarra Valley Pasta is a delicious and easy way to enjoy local produce.
Beakfast is taken care of at 3 Kings thanks to the hosts providing a hamper which includes orange juice, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, jams and yoghurt.

The fun

The 40km Lilydale-to-Warburton Rail Trail goes past the B&B's front gate and it's a leisurely ride to nearby Warburton - a great place for a Yarra Valley coffee without the Yarra Valley crowds.

The deal

Saturday night including breakfast is $305, or $250 midweek.
